Mushroom Tea

A Quick Guide to Making Mushroom Tea
Mushroom tea can be a soothing elixir to warm you up and relax you after a hard day at work. One of the favorites is a ginger mint mushroom tea, which its original maker claims can calm the mind and soothe the stomach.
To make this type of mushroom tea, you will need: Magick caps, ginger chai tea bags, three lemon twists, fresh mint leaves, a strainer and honey.
The best type of pot to use for making soothing teas is a ceramic tea pot. Steeping really brings the flavors all out, and also the medicinal values. A ceramic pot will keep the tea hot while it is brewing, and it will allow the water to leech all the essential oils out of the ingredients.
Start off by cutting your mushroom caps into small pieces. For best flavor, use dry caps over fresh, but fresh will work too. Crush the caps just a little bit, to help break down the walls of the cells. It will be very comparable to how you might crush a garlic clove, gently and carefully.
Make sure you don’t crush the mushrooms so finely that they become a powder. If you do, they won’t be able to strain out of the water. If you’ve already powdered your shrooms, not to worry – you can use a coffee filter to strain the powder out, but it is time-consuming and tedious. By straining out the caps after brewing, it will reduce any discomfort of the stomach that might otherwise occur.
The next step in making mushroom tea is to cut your lemon twists. If you don’t have access to lemons, then you can use a tiny amount of vitamin C, crushed.
Now you will pour two to three cups of water into your tea kettle. When it comes to a full boil, remove from heat and pour the water into a ceramic tea pot. Dip your lemon slices in the boiling water, and squeeze the juice out. Then add your cut mushroom caps and stir the mixture well.
Add your ginger chai tea bags to the mixture next. Take your mint leaves and rub them in your hands, to release the oils they carry, and then put them in the mixture. Stir the pot well. Then put a lid on your ceramic teapot and let the tea mixture brew for about twenty minutes. Stir once after it brews for ten minutes, and then allow it to continue brewing.
Pour your mixture through a strainer, and into a cup. Then put the strained matter back in the teapot to continue to steep, and put the lid on the teapot again.
The ginger and chai in your mushroom tea will add to the relaxing and soothing effects. Enjoy this tea at the end of a long day and it will help you wind down.
