Why Should I Choose No Carb Foods?
No carb foods are pretty hard to come by, and for good reason according to nature. Carbohydrates are an essential form of energy for the body, and are actually the easiest and first to be used when one is put into action. This has given rise to the idea that the reduction or complete discontinuation of carbs from our diets would focus all of our energy burning efforts on unwanted fats and sugar deposits. The problem with this theory is that carbohydrates are also an essential element to the digestion and absorption of many of our most needed minerals and nutrients. No carb foods happen very rarely in nature, and we should take that as a cue in regards to our diet choices. Water is one of the very few no carb foods that we cannot live without, so feel free to drink as much of it as you wish.
No carb foods can come in the form of cheeses sometimes, as trace amounts may not constitute an actual increase in carbohydrate ingestion. Monterey jack and gruyere cheeses can technically be considered as no carb foods, and who doesn’t thoroughly enjoy a rich, creamy chunk of cheese for a healthy snack? Most naturally raised meats, when prepared without additive components such as flour, barbeque and marinade sauces, and stuffing ingredients are extremely low in carbohydrates, and can make a healthy and tasty addition to any meal. To optimize the benefits of meats, you may want to bake, broil, or char grill them for flavor and to seal in the natural juices without using oils and foreign liquids.
We are what we eat, as has been well established, and we need certain elements and nutrients in order to maintain proper body functions. No carb foods can most definitely be incorporated into your daily eating plans, but they should in no way be made to replace the foods that you need in order to be healthy. Good carbs are essential, they are necessary, and they do not impede ones ability to loose weight. In fact, quite the opposite can be said of good carbs, as the benefits that they offer to the digestive process aid in the release of toxins and unwanted fats.
Bad carbs have given the good ones a bad rap of late, and it may be necessary to reiterate which ones are guilty of packing on the pounds. Potato chips, rich desserts, processed cane sugar, bleached flours such as those used to make pasta and breads, and anything along those lines should be taken in moderately. No carb foods can be even more damaging, however, so be sure to attempt a good balance.
